Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to Kindergarten!! My name is Jordan Odil and I will be your child’s Kindergarten teacher this year. We have an exciting year ahead that will be filled with lots to explore, experience, and learn! I hope to be a guide and mentor to your child this year as they embark on a yearlong learning journey filled with excitement, challenges, and tons of learning opportunities.
First, let me tell you a little about myself. I attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, and I'm a die-hard Seminole football fan. I will finish my masters degree from JMU this fall. Before moving to Virginia in 2016. I lived in Atlanta for ten years.I'm married to my husband, Jeff, and we have a one year old, Tucker. his will be my eighth year teaching, and I'm SO thrilled to be back in the Kindergarten classroom. I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade and Fourth Grade, as well as being a Reading Teacher.
I believe Kindergarten should be a happy experience for both parents and students. I know that we will be able to work together to achieve this. I will be available for a conference at your request. I want you to know that one of my most important goals this year is to keep an open line of communication between you and me. I am available to speak anytime with you after school regarding your child’s progress. Also, I will periodically send home progress reports to inform you of your child’s progress. If you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me via email. My email is [email protected] . I look forward to a fun, and most importantly, successful learning year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Jordan Odil
